secondary prevention in chronic PAD patients, assessing their potential in this population
and highlighting the unmet needs that exist;
Investigate the results of clinical trials on prostacyclin analogues in PAD, with a focus
on the somewhat surprising findings of the BIRO2 study on Beraprost;
Assess the future potential for gene therapy products in the treatment of PAD, providing
an analysis of the major products currently in human trials;
Examine other novel approaches, currently in development, including therapeutic proteins
and immune modulation therapy and assess the future direction of PAD therapy, identifying
the companies that are likely to benefit most from the changes that are taking place.
